Bost a S360 today question about hard drive

I just bought the Sony S360 and for the most part i can live with the specs. The things i would really like is a hard drive faster than the 4200 it comes with. Is this something i can pgrade myself or should i return my laptop and just config a 270 myself? I would also lik bluetooth. I may have to pay a restocking fee though. Wish I had waited and just bought the 270 from Sony the way I want it. Any feedback would be great.

Thanks!

It can most definitely be upgraded. Getting a Hitachi 7k60 and an extra 512MB RAM would make your laptop scream.

Will this work in my Sony 360? Do you think I would be better off returning my laptop at best buy amd ordering it from Sony the way I want it?

Well, sony will put at most an 80gb 5400 rpm drive in it. Personally, if I were you I would probably try to do it myself once the warranty was up, or maybe before.

And no, the second link wont work in the lt. You need a 2.5 in hd, not a 3.5.

Thanks!! Do you know the best place to buy the HD upgrade? seems to be all around 200.00 range. Is that the going price?

Thanks!

Well, thats for the Hitachi 7k60, because they are absurdly shortstocked right now. There are other options, such as the toshiba 5400 rpm with 16mb buffer, and the 100gb 5400 rpm hd's are supposed to be quick as well.
