Video editing screen size

Is 15" TFT ok enough for video editing on a laptop, i'd love to have a 17" but they seem to be heavy.

Also is a Sager 4880 ok enough for editng and post-production software, i also want it top be portable, play video games, and run engineering software. So its not just vido in mind. Are there other good alternatives i should look into?

I Like the wide screen myself. Room for side by side monitors, menus and a timeline without looking cramped.
