Question about a fishy situation

I need to know if I should call Dell support. I ordered my lappy on April 13th Weds. 6:30 AM and confirmed it around 9 AM (Right after the 750 off sale). Its been in the build stage for about 5 days now, however it is a refurbished computer, so it doesn't need to be built. I need the laptop by Thursday April 21st. Do you think I can call Dell support and ask them to hurry and see whats up with my comp, and possibly get some compensation, or well they just not do anything?

Btw, it expected shipping date is April 20th and is set to arrive anywhere from 1-5 days after that. However they kind of extended that by two days.

I ordered the same day. At one point during a system glitch, my unit went from boxing back to production. I emailed them and said I would be disappointed if it was delayed. They told me it was on schedule and upgraded me from 3-5 day ground to next day air at no charge. I am due to get mine tomorrow. This was a made to order 700m.
If you went refurbished, it really should have shipped on Thursday....maybe Friday, but no later. I would call or email right away. They emailed me a response in just a couple hours.
Something is not right with your order.

At this time? If i call them tommorow, Tuesday, is there anyway I can get it by Thursday afternoon? I'm feeling REALLY REALLY bad about not calling them sooner.

I really need to know about my delayed order. I ordered a refurbished

If you call them early tomorrow and beg them to upgrade you to overnight shipping and it ships out the same day, then you will get it Wednesday. Just be nice to them and explain that you have waited a while for this system and you really need it on Thursday for some important reason and they would probably do you a favor. Dell is pretty good at that when you treat them nice and have a legit reason.

You have got to be an absolute nightmare for customer support.
Relax. You will get your computer.
I originally ordered a refurbished 700m and it took 9 days to get to my door. I think they make that pretty clear as you are ordering it.



And no one needs to read the entire transcript of your conversation.

I think at first the dell agent wasn't going to give you upgraded shipping, but as you became more aggressive, she probably didn't want to give it to you, as she has no obligation to do so.

I got back my email response saying it'll hip April 22nd however she did refund a total of about $55 and upgraded me to Next Day Business. However 22nd is when I need it, not April 23rd. I'm calling Dell right now to see what I can do to bump my shipdate back.
