two questions

Hi everyone... my Sager 5620 died (long story... the CPU melted) and I just ordered a Dell 8600. I want to transfer my data from my Sager HD (which is still intact) to my Dell, and I was wondering what the best way to do that is.

Is there some kind of peripheral that I could use to connect to the disembodied HD and link it to my new laptop as a secondary hard drive?

Also, I heard there is a small issue with the Dell software regarding font rendering--what should I do with my laptop in this respect? Should I just reformat my hard drive (something I'm scared of doing), or is there a patch to download?

Thanks much!

There's a few options... you can get a cable that plugs into a mobile drive and converts it to plug into IDE to transfer to a desktop to then work witht he data (burn needed info, or connect through LAN to transfer). Or you can get a USB device you plug the mobile drive into and can use it as an external hard drive with your Dell.
