Fed Ex question

So I made it through the phase game on AW's site but now its a new Fed Ex tracking game.

My packages we scanned and left Orlando, Fl on Friday at 6am. Nothing has shown up new on the Fed Ex tracking site since then. The package is heading here to California.

My question is this... Is this normal for Fed Ex? I guess I expected more stops and scans along the way. Whats everyone else's experience with the Fed Ex tracking?

i dont exactly know if they scan at each stop, especially if the boxes never come off the truck....mine just shipped yesterday at 4pm. it left florida @9pm. the site says it will arrive the 21st by 7:00pm..they sent it Fed Ex 2day. How did they send it

they sent mine basic I guess. I didnt pay for extra fast shipping or anything. My estimated arrival date is the 22nd so its not overdue. I just expected the routine that UPS does which is scan at each stop.

Trying to be patient but I feel like a girl waiting for prom night....

Yes, it's normal. As I have been looking around here and according to my own experience, FedEx wouldn't update the tracking info since they left Orlando until the day of delivery (or the day prior to that).

Hrmm...when they sent mine it was play by play action...I saw every single time it arrived and departed a Fed Ex depot.

My buddy got his AW desktop about a year ago and I thought his went from Orlando to Ohio... Texas... Sacramento... then the truck for delivery.

Thats why I asked.

If someone has had their FedEx tracking go from Orlando to Out for delivery though... it makes me feel a little less anxious.

hey theisaac, they just dropped mine off a few hours ago without any warning at all. It said 2day delivery, but it just left the warehouse less than 24hrs ago!!! Are you talking some crazy luck or what!!! Keep me posted on the Fed Ex phase

Mine went to Los Angeles then up to Oakland before I got mine.

All new systems sent by Alienware are shipped via FedEx Ground with Home Delivery service. Chances are you won't get another tracking status until your package reaches California. This is because, I assume, constant scanning of the package isn't done when it's sitting on a truck being driven across the country. The next time you see any activity will probably be when it reaches the distribution hub in your local area. Also, FedEx sometimes uses outside shipping contractors to deliver their Home Delivery services packages. Even though it's rare, a local carrier (not a FedEx truck) might deliver your system. As part of FedEx's Home Delivery Service Saturday delivery is offered.

This is exactly how Brandon's rig looked. I saw the box scanned in Orlando on 9 April, the next scan was Denver (where we live) on 13 April, and then the box was delivered on the morning of the 14th. No play by play.

Chris, I live in Modesto. Yes Yes the hub of california sensationalism. Chandra Levy... Laci Peterson... its a small town too. Something in the water here, thats why I only drink coffee lol.

Well, hopefully tomorrow I'll get some new info from the fed ex site.
