So UPS guy just came with a E173FP rather than my 9300. How could dell screw something like that up???

Someone at Dell must of been sniffing some new power supplies or something to make a mistake like that.

I had a package once from CA coming here to FL that got "diverted" through Alaska.

Do you get to keep the monitor too? My order was delayed and I got 10% off and a 256 mb key, significantly more than a $100 battery.

No. I tried... First the dell home weenies consider it a 179$ battery and they don't consider it to be to big of an incovenience because I will still get my 9300 before the est del date.

It Gets better. The original supposed to be here laptop came in today. The other is on its way....Gotta love dell!

So I just got a notification that the second laptop is coming in tommorow....Will dell figure it out or am I faced with an ethical dillemma. You think I can get another battery out of them for being honest

it may be tempting but i think you should do the right thing and let dell know if you get sent two laptops instead of one.. you never know, they might reward your honesty with one of their infamous dell 'gifts'....

seriously, i wouldnt feel right knowing that i kept a second laptop that i didnt order or pay for...

just my two cents..

So if you had just waited a few days before calling (and still before your due date), you would have ended up with your order plus a free monitor? Maybe at time of order they had some free monitor special going on, and "thought" you were eliglible too?

Moral is, wait before calling?
I probably would rather have the extra battery anyway, unless it is a nice monitor.

They did this to me with a 2001 FP warranty replacement. They sent 2 brand new monitors out to replace mine after a refub replacement was garbage. I tried to convince them that I had 3 monitors when I should only have 1. The told me the refurb I sent back was the original monitor and that they only sent 1 new monitor out as a replacement. I tried honest to god THREE times to make it right. They didn't want to hear it. Oh well. 3 2001FP for me. Of course I paid then what 3 of them would go for now almost anyway.
