Luke, SWG and the Matrix online..all on my 9860 yumm..

But i've been thinking instead of buying every card that comes out.. to wait for the last card at the end of the road for the 9860.. truthfully the x800 does everything i want it to do

However, how much is it going to cost just to have the modification to the motherboard? And once the mod is made.. can we still use our old cards x800/6800 none ultra etc...

How's Texas? :P

Matrix online.... ewwwww. So far I have all the 9860's video card, starting to build a fort out of them next to my laptop . No update on the cost yet for the revision + card, but I am sure we will hear shortly. Yes, the old cards should still be usable.

Texas = the win

I will die if this doesn't work in my 9860. >_<

My Spidey-sense is telling me that this M28Pro is only a stop-gap measure to regain the performance crown from nVidia (even if it is only a paper release) until they release their 90nm 16-pipe mobile version of the R520 in about 4 months or so.

mmm.. then maybe I should wait a little bit.. if it'll be available in sager 7620
will it?

Don't wait for the 90nm version, just wait for the 16-pipes.

I would sure hope so - I am more interested in the 7620 at the moment..
- But it's future upgradability options is what's holding me back!

BADASS! I will gladly take this sucker over the ULTRA if its quicker. ATI is my favorite vid card manufacture anyway. Wonder if its gonna need a new board to mate the card to? The article said its coming in a couple of weeks and Alienware should be the first to sell it. Hope this is true...
post #17 of 18
If alienware is the first to have it (for the D900T model), so I don't see why Sager wouldn't be able to get it around the same time period. It's the same machine as the 9860, so logic says yes.

Sure hope no motherboard revision is equired. I currently have the x800 in my 9860. Sending it in for a revision would be a PITA since I work overseas. The transit time alone would be 6 weeks and six weeks without a computer isn't really an option.
