What is the best 17 inch lcd and best 19 inch lcd. Something with 8ms, high contrast ratio, and glossy screen like Sony XBRIGHT.

What is the best LCD I should get?

Also nice:
widescreen
composite, component, s-video inputs
tv-tuner
usb hub
media card slots

yes, i mean the lcd you would get for your desk, that can be used on either you desktop or your notebook. And if you really wanted to, you could take out a lcd from your notebook, and attach a 19 lcd from where ever and make it work

well yeah of course... all you'd have to do is redesign the chasis, fabricate it and make it look pretty, disassemble the desktop LCD, reroute all the wiring and power cables, fabricate your own plug for it to work with your current laptop, then mount all of your laptops components into your new chasis, mount the desktop LCD into the bezel, making and testing all the components...

and VOILA!

and y'know.. if you really wanted to, you can make your laptop be able to let you fly?

i've had my Samsung Syncmaster 930B 19" viewable LCD for about 2 weeks now.

all i can say is.........amazing.

8ms response time.

absolutely no-ghosting at all...

700:1 ratio

160x160 viewing angle

great software for color adjustments..

auto adjust feature is great....text is crisp and not blurry at all.

it's an SXGA, so it's max res is 1280x1024...

but it does come w/ both DVI & VGA (15pin) connectors.(only VGA cable included, NOT DVI though)

currently i'm using the VGA cable until i get my DVI cable..and so far it still looks amazing...can't wait till i hook it up to DVI!

only thing i wish it had were height adjustments, there's no screen pivoting at all..but i

don't ever use that, so that's not a concern for me.

have played:

SC: Chaos Theory
Doom 3
Pariah demos
Painkiller
UT2K4
and a bunch of others...w/ that LCD.

no dead pixels!

i love it...huge improvement over my NEC 17" Crt.

got it at Circuit City the 2nd day it came out..so i was lucky enough to get a $90 rebate too..so that made it an extra sweet deal.

i'd recommend this one!
