whoever said this wouldn't fit on the new sleeve is wrong, I just got my 700m today with an 8cell battery and it fits the shinza sleeve EASILY, no tugging pulling or anything, its not tight at all it fits just perfectly.

Sweet, those pics look good. What is the Shinza made of, looks like neoprene, is it?

I'm getting a 700m soon and think I might get one of those, looks durable.

no its not neoprene, its like some kinda of memory foam, if you pinch it the imprint will stay for a few seconds its really cool

i've had my 12" zeroshock for several months...it's too tight. if the shinza is warm, the foam stretches easily...well, i take that back, the foam is actually encased in fabric, and the fabric stretches if the foam is not warm enough to be pliable. let's take into consideration that if the foam is stretching, then its protective properties are degraded as well. anyways, if you are happy with it that is all that matters. i still would not recommend the 12" zeroshock though

I just bought the roadwired APS compact sleeve.

No doubt the shinza is popular among the 700m users. I just got my 700m about a week ago and was looking for a perfect fitting sleeve so I checked out at our university bookstore and found MARWARE, sleeves mainly made for apple 12 inch laptops. It just fits in perfectly with the 8-cell extended battery. I'll have a pic of it to show you guys, google it if you guys want to look around for other choices of sleeves.

Its not tight at all, it zips up freely with no kinks or anything

from the top picture, yours looks like it fits just like mine. anyways, i'm sure there may be small deviations in size.

hey jeri
could u please measure the exterior dimensions of the sleeve? i don't know if the numbers posted on their website is accurate.
the numbers on the website caution that the exterior dimensions are less than interior because there is nothing in the case. exterior dimension will differe depending on what you have in there...the material as well as the foam stretches
