Mandrake/Mandravia on Sager 4880C?

I'm considering getting the 4880C but first I want to know whether or not Mandrake/Mandravia will work on it. Here are my intended specs btw;

15" SXGA+ Active Matrix LCD
Pentium M 1.7GHZ
ATI MR X700 256MB
1024 MB DDR333
60.0 GB 5400rpm HD
Integrated CMOS Video Camera/4-in-1 Card Reader
8x DVD / 24x10x24 CD-RW Combo Drive & Software
10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet
Internal V.90 Fax/Modem
Intel PRO wireless A+B+G

well, I've checked Google and some other places, and I don't see anything. I'm betting no one has tried, or least they aint talkin if they have.

Sorry I don't have any more information for you than that.

I can't see anything troublesome in the hardware specs. Could you state the chipset info?

i'm assuming that is based on the sonoma platform? If it is it ought to be quite similar to the 9300 in most resepcts, i hear ATI has pretty good driver support so i wouldn't worry about it too much. Sounds like you'll be the rirst though.

but may i ask....what do you see in mandrake? what makes that distro ohh all that great?

Mmm... everything except the ATI card Still not going to run cedega perfectly, which means, don't hope of getting anything like a working version of any of the recent games running at all damn do I hate ATI now...
