Sneak peak at the Sager color options coming soon - Page 2

Well, those are badass colors, for sure. I feel, however, that I should be the first 4760 owner to come out and ask if we are going to get the shaft on the paintjob situation. Adam, I remember you saying something a while back about it being a problem painting the 4760 because some of the parts were getting damaged etc... and therefor making the continuation of the warrantee impossible, but you weren't cut and dry about the whole situation....

Let us 4760 owners know....I feel half-way relieved that I don't have the money in case the option was available, because it would take all of my power to just select the color.....

Read???? I have the original as broadcast by the BBC on a set of 6 CD's. They were on sale here in Australia for a while.

You can't beat the original sound track. "But then, you're not really interested in me anyway are you? I think I just go and stick my head in a bucket. There, is that better." - Marvin the paranoid android.

ah...yeah i have the mp3s for those ^^;
i think i enjoyed the books more though. bit more content... they seemed to be a bit fast paced in the radio program... but ill tell you what, radio shows like that really are a unique form of entertainment. ive been searching for the original war of the worlds broadcast for a couple years now to no avail. ah well. =\

I don't mind waiting for those colors. OMG beauty at its finest! WHEEE!

I'll be sure to put an order in when 5680 colors are offered.

Welcome to the club falcon9x .

Oh btw, remember to clean up your drool afterwards. It slows down the paint drying .

See, AFAIK, PCT uses new, spare parts for the paint jobs. I dont know what happens to the original (maybeu get it back? dunno). So, for a 5670, they would have to have the right parts (since the bottom case is different).
This is what i heard also, but this makes me wonder how they are going to do a custom job. Do they have a few blank shells, and just paint them seperate?

The ONLY systems that we will be able to paint are the 5680s and 8890s. If you already have one of these, you can send it in to be painted. You will not get your original shell back.

I hope this clears up the confusion.

Hm. If the turn-around time is right, I may do this (as long as I have it back by the beginning of November, when I have to leave the country).

The Hummer Firehouse Red or Chameleon Red/Purple look very nice.

Hey, Laura, any chance you folks could see what's abutting my bottom fan and causing it to click/whine while you've got everything taken apart?

u know, there are other routes that can be taken..

i Know MANY auto shops around here that will do custom paint, using the same auto paint. So, if you want, check around some places locally. U might be supprised.. :P

This is true, a buddy of mine had his case painted Honda Civic Si blue, and they only charged him like $50 as I recall. *shrug* Turned out pretty awesome too!

This would void the warranty, but go for it if that's what you want to do. A lil warning, if you don't have experience taking them apart to be able to paint them very well or the wrong paint/prep is used, you'll be in for many more surprises =).

The price isn't cheap like $50, high quality paint isn't even that cheap let alone the labor and time to tear down, put back together and warranty the unit. We'd much rather people complain about the price than the quality of the work, so we went with the best of most everything.
