but IMO anaconda is right. If you just want ultimate pc, that has been discussed before. Realistic is different. Ultimate can cost $10k, realistic usually stays below $2500. Mine is a hopeful, but by the time i muster up the "kahones" (i doubt i spelled it right) to piss away more money on a computer, much better will be out.

But anyway, to be a little more serious this is my machine right now:
MSI MS-7093 MB
Socket 939 Athlon 64 3200+
512MB RAM in Dual Channel
GeForce 6600 (ordering that next saturday)
I'm leaving it at that for the moment because I'm gonna quit my job next month and wait until the end of summer before I look for a new one. Then I'll have somethink like this:
Athlon 64 X2 (some dual core processor)
4GB RAM Dual Channel
Next-gen graphics (either Radeon R520 based or whatever the new nVidia will be, depending on performance)
