I have an R50P for only a year, and then suddenly a couple of weeks it 'died'. Meaning it couldn't even turn on, so I called IBM to get some warranty service on it (wow, 3 yrs warranty). They sent me a box to ship it to them last friday. Ended up sending it to them on this monday, and by today (friday) I got it back.

inside the box it had a note saying that they replaced the system board and updated the bios.

That is fast service to me!!!!! Boy am I glad I got IBM.
