Can closing the screen while the system is still hot damage the LCD? - Page 2

I think what I'm gonna start doing with losers like you is to add a link to your product site to the "Beware Of Seller" list in the For Sale/ WTB section. Then I'll post a BS story about how you guys screwed me or how your product really sucks.

I have my 9300 set to hibernate on lid close. Works fine.

Once the power is off, no more heat is being generated. Sure the lid and case might prevent the existing heat from dispersing as quickly as it might, but the darned lappie was fine with the heat when it was on so will be fine when it is off.

Amount of heat generated in laptops varies from with makes and models to geographical location. In general, laptop heat affects batteries and screens. Matter of fact - for any eqiopment, the cooler it is - better for it.

I was writing something long & boring but I deleted it halfway through the process. The bottom line is, no there is not going to be enough heat generated after you turn off your laptop to damage the screen in any way. I don't see the palrest /keyboard area exceeding 149 degrees.

Just think about all those TFT screens in cars in the boiling Texas heat everyday. Temps soaring above 140 degrees & my rear seat LCD's never missed a beat.

Guys, don't feed him, he resurrected an old thread for the sole purpose of pimping his store. Report the post and let me and the other mods deal with it.

xmeteorite consider yourself a recipient of the banpsersand!
