Check your home owner's policy. I added a no-deductible computer rider that covers all the same stuff as Complete Care but at a much lower cost.

I'm glad to see more folks starting to get a shot at this deal. I remember cornholio and I both struggling at this earlier in the weekend.

johare - so close. That would have been the perfect machine for your boys to use as a frisbee.

I'll have to look into that for my next purchase...especially if I ever wind up picking up a reburb. Still though, unless it's a huge savings, I'd really rather not have to deal with the hassle of filing a claim against my homeowners policy with my insurance company.

Hehe...I'm just playing 'catch and release' for the sport of it...not sure I'd buy any of these...though it would have been really hard to pass up that $1025 XPS Gen 2...at that price, I'd give it to the kids. I'm sure that their eyes are still good enough so the small fonts wouldn't bother them, I don't think they have an disdain for glossy displays like I do and battery life isn't really an issue since I'd probably find a way to mount it to the desk in their room.

I'm still happy with my 9300...pretty much has everything I want and got lucky enough to get a Go6800 which seems to overclock very well. Think it cost me like $2100 delivered and that was with Florida sales tax. Got an extra 9 cell battery and extra a/c adaptor too. Oh...and a free printer worth about $30 if I sell the ink on eBay.

lol..yep. I was going to sell the ink and throw the printer away, but the kids hadn't used their old Epson printer in so long that I think the ink dried and messed up the printhead. Think I'll give them the Dell to use until the ink runs out...then I'll throw it away.

I ordered this after 2AM Saturday morning and it shipped that day. I checked my invoice and although the online description said it came with an 80Gb HD it is really coming with a 60Gb 7200RPM drive. This is nice because I'm pretty sure the 80gb drive is really only 4200RPM.

Price: $1164.10 AC
Inspiron XPS Generation 2 (System Identifier EPAXEE09)
Intel Pentium M Processor 760 (2 GHz/2MB Cache/533MHz FSB)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
Memory: 512 MB DDR2 SDRAM 533MHz (2 DIMM)
Floppy Drive: External 1.44MB USB Floppy Disk Drive
Hard Disk Drive: 80 GB EIDE Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
Video: 256MB NVIDA GeForce Go 6800
NoteBook Screen: 17 inch UltraSharp Wide Screen UXGA Notebook Screen
Network Interface Card: Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 mini PCI Card
CD Read-Write Drive: 24X CD RW/DVD Combo Drive
and an extra 9 Cell Batteries

I'll have to look into those scripts myself because while I would love to get in on some good Dell deals, I can't afford the time to sit around refreshing the browser all day :/

Last chance, missed again, coupon expired.

If anyone sees a new coupon code please post in here.
It's over. It was fun while it lasted...
are there any new outlet coupons?
I know I havn't come accross any yet. I wonder if they do coupons for the outlet as often as they do for new systems?
None that I know of. However, you can still get some pretty good deals in the outlet. Yesterday, I got ans XPS G2 (XP Home, 2GHz, 512MB, 60GB 7200, Intel 2915 a/b/g wireless, DVD-RW, and Bluetooth) for $1560 shipped. Much better deal than the inferior one that I configured with the $750 off coupon for $1931.

The strange thing about it though, for me, is that it was advertised on the outlet page with an 80GB 7200 RPM hard drive (which doesn't exist!). But when checking the system specs now that it has shipped, it lists the 60GB 7200 RPM drive. I'm not sure what to do about that yet. Any suggestions?
