My Dell Deal

Was perusing the Dell outlet store and I made an impulse purchase. I think it was a great deal. What do you guys think?

Dell M70
2 GHZ Pentium M
512 MB ram (1 dimm)
15.4" WSXGA+ (at little leery givne the bad feelings about WSXGA+ lately)
256 MB NVidia Quadro FX Go1400
60 GB 7200 RPM drive
Intel 2200 wireless (b & g)
8X DVDRW
3 years business on site labor

oops... $1719 before tax at about 6AM pacific

I had just ordered a Toshiba M3. I'll be torn between the better video card (my work involves OpenGL) in the Dell and the portability of the M3. I'm actually thinking of potentially keeping both if possible!! (Got 10% off the Toshiba as well).

Now I have my MSI 510C to sell...

Wow, I know the Dell deals have been good lately but we are talking a notebook that I priced at $2974 brand new after the current $250 off deal a few minutes ago. It's about a 42% discount!

Oh...for some reason I thought this was a refurb! Otherwise ok.

It was. Does that make a difference? The warranty is the same.

congrat's man, but i think you may be adorning the price (:dunno: but some ppl. r embarassed to buy refurbs) ..

i got the same system (almost -- see spec's) AND a 2% discount using DPA and mine came to $1,977. the dif. maybe that I got the Complete Care + Accidental Damage Warranty, 1 GB RAM, but the additional of u having a DVD-RW should keep our price about the same...

i suggest everyone in the market for an M70 check it out: free ship + no tax if you go through outlet home + DPA, etc.

the $275 off + normal discount for outlet items comes to ~44% off normal retail price + 2% DPA = ~46%

mattk-

I would imagine you'll love your computer, I love my m70. Especially if you do things that'll get a boost from the Quadro card. Otherwise, it is just a good way to get approx 6800go card in a 15.4" case.

I dunno about the wsxga, I got wuxga and love it. But then I have good eyes (thank you lasik).

60 GB 7200 RPM HD
256 MB ram (ordered 1 GB for $121 through Newegg)
256 mb Nvidia GeFOrce 6800

Creative Labs Audigy 2 zs notebook card for 5.1 DD (added $100 to price(
2915 wireless networking
Targus Bag
Extra 9 CELL BATTERY (added another $139 to price)

I can't remember if i got a 1 year or 2 year warranty

bleh, i think during that $750 coupon deal, u could have gotten a 9300 (albeit not as highly specced as depue's) for probably around $1000.... or was the 9300 recently released?
