Compaq R4000Z or Acer apire 1804

Hey ppl,

I am looking at these two notebooks .

Compaq R4000z

Athlon 4000+
2gigs Ram
128 ati xpress 200m for athlon Graphics
80gb 5400
bluetooth
12 cell battery
jbl speakers


acer aspire 1804

pentium 3.2 800mhz 1mb ram
1gb Ram
100gb hard drive 4000
ati x600 128mb
bluetooth
17inch screen
audio dj with remotecontrol and woofer


price for both is the same.

the compaq would do much better overall for performance and battery life, however the acer has a better video card, i think. If you will be gaming, the acer might be better. Depends on your needs. You didn't ask a specific question; do you just want to know which is better? Both are nice computers, it depends on which you need.

hey there ,

thanks for the quick reply.I wont be gaming a bit.MOstly it will be wireless internet ,a bit of music,a bit of battery life and am looking for a athlon 4000.I am inclined toward the acer aspire for the woofer sound and the audio dj with remote control and the 17 inch and graphics.WHile compaq has athlon 4000+ 12 cell battery and a amd athlon specific graphics and 2 gb of ram.

for a bit of internet and music you don't need an a64 4000+
