stupid dell tech representatives? (on i-9300)

Hi guys,

i just ordered the i-9300. I called the Dell tech representatives for what type of memory ram is on the gf6800 go, the guy said its DDR3.

after doing some research, i found out that i-9300 does NOT use DDR3 ram.

does dell recently use DDR3 on its geforce6800? or was that tech rep doesnt know what he is talking about? (actually i called twice, all with the same answer).

this makes me really worried. is the geforce6800 on i-9300 a lot slower than the ultra on XP2 ?

Yes it is slower in the 6800 than the Ultra version that comes in the XPS2. The 6800 in the Ultra uses faster memory than the one in the non-ultra 6800 in the 9300.

You have to get something to justify the extra $700+ dollars you are paying with the XPS2 besides different case treatments and gigabit LAN
