i just brought my new chill mat home, and it looks to small. does anyone use it with the 7405gx? or did i buy the wrong one? do they make one for widescreens?
I use one (different notebook model, same case). It is smaller than the bottom of the case, but the four feet should fit on the mat (with slight foot "hang off"). There are several models sold at newegg that give you more for your money though, including some in the same price range with integrated USB hubs.

Same reason I got mine. It really did make a noticeable difference in the frequency of my fans turning on also. The fans are also for the most part inaudible. The main reason I even got one was to keep it elevated when using on bed or couch.
