I have 2 of these chips and I paid $240 each for them last summer... now theyre only $110 after rebate

*sniffle* rebate is good for US only, and limit one per household, receipt etc...

I just recieved mine today and just put it into my 700m. So far so good!

Yeah, i had bought this one a month ago, and then it was $159,00 minus the $20,00 rebate. Oh well, now it is $20,00 cheaper. Anyway, now i have i stick of 256 and another of 1gb, what would be the benefits of going to 2GBs for my 700m?

Yeah, I have always wondered that. How much of a difference will there be if you compare 2GB ram with 1GB ram?

Another question: What would be the equivalent speed of a Pentium 4 processor compared with Pentium M 755 2.0 Ghz?

Thanks!

I have read here in this forum, something like 2.8Ghz is the equivalent.

TalhaDaMan, have you tried undervolting it? If yes, what are you numbers?

Call me Talha mate. I actually haven't tried undervolting yet, but planning to do so very soon. I'll let you know the numbers then. About the CPU speed, someone told me it was in the range of 3.2-2.4 GHz. You're probably more correct cause those numbers seemed a bit high even for the Centrino processor. Later Fabiodovalle!
