Good Post!

The post would be better off in the Notebook General Section, but anyway, still a good post!

Combining the two =the 9300 imo(except for the dimensions)

400 MHz Ram...
^Thats what I saw, too.

If it had 533 MHz Ram and the X800/6800go I'd be all over that sucker. But it doesn't

"Beauty" costs me over $1000 more for the same configuration (less the 6800 of course) and "Beauty's" larger battery extends outside the case, which is not very beautiful.

What's it like dealing with Gateway anyway? I went to one of their stores once and the salesman was both rude and an idiot, so I never went back in one. I know that's probably not a fair assessment, but then again, every shop and employee is a representation of the company.

Still, the X700 is better than the X300 Dell ships.

Wish Dell would step up to the X600-700 in the 6000 series...and offer it as a middle ground on the 9300 series.

Some other pluses in the Gateways favor.

Full sized keyboard with numbers block. Gigabyte Ethernet. Better basic video.

Some things in Dell's favor.

Better highend video
Higer capacity standard and extended battery. 53,80 vs. 44,66

Why is this a good post..

Its bordering on idiotic...
