Should I go with 80GB and bluetooth or go with 100GB HD?

It depends on what you really need. I would go with the 80gb and bt because I use a wireless mouse. But thats me; youre different than I am.

I guess you're right. It's better to get the bluetooth and sacrifice 20 GB since I might need its wireless capability later.

you can most likely add bluetooth very easily later, but putting in a new HD requires (which is easy too) requires u to back up data, re-install, and is a lot more expensive relatively

so i'd buy the bigger HD and add bluetooth aftermarket

Right now, my mind says "more functionality is better" but I really do not have a use or any plan to make use of the bluetooth. On the other hand, I do play a lot of games and store a lot of stuff on my HD...

I thought you know since everything is equipped with a bluetooth nowadays I would just jump on the bandwagon as well. hehehe

i was in the same dilemma, to get BT or not. i just looked up how easy it was to add bluetooth (via service manual) and saw that BT cards are only ~$30 and went w/out until i need it

Besides cell phones, what devices use bluetooth?

The reason I'm asking is that I have a similar problem. I want to get an LG LM70, but it doesn't have a built in BT... I know that I don't need BT now... but I'm planning to use my notebook for many years so there might something cool coming out that uses BT.

The BT card that you guys were talking about is a PCMCIA card? Or is it integrated?

bluetooth mouse seems really cool..
and ya.. you always have more things to showoff when you have bluetooth!

blue tooths headphones!, bluetooth mouse!, sum cars now are controlled by bluetooth controller.. you can control them with ur laptop! how useful.. bluetooth is the best.. but seriously theres no need for it.. its just to show off

alot of devices use bluetooth, not just cell phones. PDAs, wireless mice, keyboards. You can also send data to another laptop. It's quite handy.

do you have anything that uses bluetooth, and are you likely to get anything that uses bluetooth? the only things that come to mind are wireless mice, cell phones and pda's (but a lot of pda's use wifi as well)...if you're unlikely to use either of those with your notebook, then I would go with the bigger hard drive (I know some people love the BT wireless mice, but are they better than the rf mice, and are there any issues with lag?).

...if you want to keep a lot of music files or have several different games on your notebook, than I would say go with the bigger hard drive. Think about HL2 and UT2004, and then think about all of the add-ons that the gaming community has developed for them (RO, Clone Bandits, etc. for UT2004, new ones coming out for HL2). Plus, you can add BT with just a usb thumb drive...

If you don't use BT much - get the 100 HD. That at least in performance you will use a lot. And its not impossible, and quite cheap, to add BT later. The cost of adding one or the other later favors doing the HD now.
