BUT when you go to install it, it will only let you install if you can prove to the installer that you do indeed have a previous version of Windows. If you do not either already have a previous Windows installed on your hard drive OR a CD to prove that you have a previous version, it won't let you install. If you have a Windows 95 CD, for instance, it will not accept that. You need a newer version of Windows to upgrade to XP. So, I just was fearful that I might end up with a CD that tells me that it won't install, because I don't qualify.
