Desktop.ini Showing up on windows

Whenever I boot windows, after logging into my user profile, I see two notepad's open on the desktop.

The notepad file name is "desktop.ini".


Is there any way to stop it showing/opening everytime I log in?

Problem solved. There was desktop.ini file in "My User account startup folder" and in "All Users startup Folder". I deleted both the files.

I am not sure how they got created and what bad effects it would have on deleting. Since recently I am seeing quite a lot of *.ini files in many folders.
