Not to slam dell to hard but they can take it. Dell is Ford and your are wanting your a Ford to be as good as a BMW. Ford targets the masses but does a decent job of modifing its mass production cars into high end performance cars. I.E. Mustang, Mustang GT, and Mustang Cobra. You want a $50,000 Mustang Cobra to compare to an $80,000 BMW M5. Your setting yourself up for disappointment.
Can you get an AlienWare machine for $1200? (I think not)
Can you get a 9300 for $1200? (even less if you watch for coupons)
9300 = low relative cost, mass produced very nice performing machine
XPS2 = 9300 that has been modified by manufacture to be "a contender" (and king of the hill for the moment)
