USB floppy drive

HI.. i have the smartdisk USB floppy drive FDUSB-tm2 that came with my mj12m-7700..
today was the first time i tried to use it and im having problems.

i put a 1.44 disk into my win98 machine, works great, copy files to it..
then i put it into the USB drives attached tot he 7700 and it tells me the disk needs to be formatted... i try to format it and it tells me it cant format the disk.. this has happened with 3 disks now.. anyone have a clue ?

have you tried using a blank one first on your usb drive befor eyou copy over files from your win98 machine. Format it first in the usb drive then go back to you win98 machine and copy over files, that should fix your problem.

If that doesn't work, it might be a bum drive, I would probably call them to replace it.
