so can someone telll me how to covert a french laptop to a English one , yet still keeping all the features like QuickPlayback etc..
Also i am assuming that the package will not include an english version of the XP recovery cd..

For Win XP, replacing it with an english language version disc from another similar dv1000 might work or you would have to buy retail/oem win XP disc.

Dont know about the quickplay feature though. Or you could learn a few words of French just for the quickplay feature.

I have heard you can change the original language of Windows XP by installing a language package, which can be downloaded from the MS's website.

I'm just wondering whether there are any special Franch words printed on the keyboard...
