Hey,
i am looking for a sleeve for my s notebook. Actually its a S2XP as it is called here in Germany (1,7, 512, 80, 9700/64/bluetooth).

I like the booq Vyper M, which is 3cm too big for the s, but i like the way it looks, has anyone any experience with the vyper, or can send me some pictures of the laptop inside it?

Which one do you have or recommend?

Thanks
phoe

Lack of Options

I'd reccomend buy online (even US sites) and pay what you need to for shipping. If not, try ebay.

the AMC1, are the two bags completely separate, or does the small one store in the larger one? What is the intended usage of that bag, as a sleeve for backpack transport?

Yes the two neoprene bags are separate. One is for the laptop and the other is for the AC adapter. You do not store one within the other when both are carrying their respective component.

Waterfield sleeves are the best sleevecases in the world bar none. Get the size 12, with flap. It's designed for the S series so fits like a glove. I've been travelling with it for months now and it's outstanding.

was looking at the sony semi-hardened case, looks so much sleeker than the waterfield cases. But everyone that has had a waterfield case rants and raves about how good it is. I guess i'll get the waterfield because it can hold other things simultaneously (not just the laptop)

I thought it looked good in the photos but it's far better in reality. People 'rant and rave' about it because it's probably one of the few products they've ever bought after reading all the hype and genuinely thought: "bloody hell, this really IS perfect".

Hate to sound like I'm ranting and raving.... but I gotta tell you, the Waterfield sleeves are really excellent. I am particularly impressed by their customer service, like so many other people. It's refreshing (wish the company I work for had such good customer relations!)

One little caveat- DO get the flap option. It's still great without it, but I find myself wishing I had ordered it with the flap. That option increases the flexibility of use of the sleeve (I am not too comfortable throwing the sleeved notebook in anything but my Waterfield Cargo, where it works perfectly, but I would be slightly concerned about the possibility of a coin or other object working into the sleeve if I were to throw it into, say, a backpack.

With the strap, flap and pocket option, you have all you need for a smaller notebook, like my T-series.
