Bluetooth overhead?

I'm curious how much overhead (cpu, ram, delay, speed whatever you wanna call it) a bluetooth snap in has. I can't find the post but weeks ago I think I read that it lowers battery life a tad and/or reduces performance a tad.

I guess my question is, if I get it separately, should I just install it right away to see if it's compatible and not worry about it after the warranty expires even if I have no bluetooth devices to use and not worry about any performance hit?

You can always disable it to save Battery life (barely anything unless your using a Bluetooth device) Unless you use the WIDCOMM drivers you shouldnt be having any sort of performance issues that im aware of.

Ok, so driver wise just download and use Dell's bluetooth drivers for best results?

Darn, now I wish I could remember if that post I read actually said it has any negative impact on performance, or if it was just a slight drain on the battery if used...
