Hey all,

I'm the temporary owner of my father's XPS Gen3 Desktop. We determined that we'll probably look into a re-install of XP since SP2 killed the server's performance (argh); Alternatively I can start by uninstall of all the software, but its a lot (i.e. the full Adobe suite and the Canopus hw/sw movie editing suite). Besides I do not think that uninstalls will work since it started with SP2.

Problem is we cannot find any driver floppys for the SATA RAID (all his disks are SATA, and therefore are on the RAID - Boot disk is standalone and the other two are striped). No clue what the RAID type is either, no info from either the BIOS or the varying documentation that he's supplied to me (which is quite a lot actually).

Yes I'm going to call XPS/CS in a few minutes, just looking for pointers after perusing and searching around in here.

Thanks,
