It's because your 9600 xt dont utilize the directx 9 effects who renders much slower but looks amazing!

If the ones with go 6800 (ultra) forced the videocard to run at directx 8 or 7 they would blow avay that fps...

wtf are you talking about?
1. UT2004 does not use DX9c (It uses DX9b which the 9600 xt DOES support via)
2. The 6xxx series from nvida is the ONLY card familiy that supports DX9c
3. Addind hardware support does not make it any slower only when software rendering is thrown in does it slow down. (granted slow card generally lack hardware support)

Here are a few Screenshots of the games i play, my specs are XPS Gen 1 Laptop w/ ATI Mobility 9800, Maxtor 1 Touch 300GB HDD, 80 GB reg HDD and NEC 6500A. All games are being run at 1920X1200 except Simpsons which has a max res of 1600 X 1200, and thats what i am running it at, i am using OMEGA Drivers, and i have not overclocked my card...yet!

So what do u all think?

Sorry for the poor image quzlity, but Photobucket only lets u host pics up to 250K and after that they resize them, but on the games the DETAIL is HIGH - VERY HIGH
