ok so ive got my A51m and all im playing CS with 60+ fps usually and around 60ping but my computer is acting like im lagging out most of the time or something stupid ive tryed everything i could think of.. i have recorded a demo also so those of you with HL2 or something can view it and se what im talking about.. lately its being acting weird in general. like theres no CPU usage at all and it takes for ever to load something like my C drive its ticking me off any ideas? i clean my ram regularly.. im going to run 3dmark again and see if it does it there to

if you want the demo let me know. its not letting me upload at least my computer i think

thats a very strange problem, especially for a puter like the 7700.... Video Drivers perhaps?

no he's lagging out of games which implies connectivity problems. r u using wireless or wired? thru a router or direct connect to modem? is it just cs or general connectivity?

now if you feel the gameplay is laggy/stuttery try cl_smooth 0 in the console. that helps. also try rate 20000, cl_rate 20000, cl_cmdupdate 101 and cl_updaterate 101

I tried to use my 7700 to play css too.. and it runs without any lag...

I have noticed high temps will cause CPU throttling on my 7700, even when running on AC. Make sure there is nothing restricting the airflow to the input fans on the bottom of the case or the exhaust fans on the side and back. Make sure the notebook is on a level hard surface; don’t use it on a bed, couch or other fabric-covered surface. If this isn’t the case I would look for spyware, viruses, or things like that.

o...thanks craig sorry again.... yea i had a feeling it was either driver related and/or alienguse so i turned alienguse off and got the newest drivers from the AW site because i was running the "performance laptop" ones. also i never use my laptop on any soft surface its always a table or something and its not overheating i alt + tabed out of the game and looked at mobo meter and i was at like 45c...not its not a connectivity problem im getting well under 100ping...but im pretty sure i got it fixed with these two but i have that demo if anyone wants to look at it

nevermind tripod wont let me remote load anyone want it let me know... its 600kb so i cant load it here

...

I don't think it's network problems, I think you should test CS: S on another computer in the same network, and then checking component by component.

I ordered an A51m 7700, 2gig, 3.8 mhz, ATI X800.

how much fps do you think I'll get at cs: s ?
