For the memory, you'll need all your memory to be pc3200 so it won't clock down to the lowest spec, which would mean disassembling the laptop to remove that one non-user accessible stick. I would look for a CL rating of no higher than 3. If you don't mind paying a slight premium, crucial.com usually has good memory that they guarantee will work with your system. You can use their memory finder. But even with upgraded memory, you'd probably only notice the difference for very demanding tasks.
