sensitive keyboard

I received my 9300 a couple weeks ago and have no problems up until now. the "H" key on my keyboard has become very sensitive. just accidentally touching it as you move your hand across the keyboard will put like 3 to 4 h's on the screen. Is anhyone else having this problem? anyone know of a way to fix it so i don't have to send it in to dell?

So, even if you just tap it once, it puts 3 or 4 h's on the screen? It doesn't sound like it's "sensitive". . .it sounds like it's somehow sticky. So, when you press it, it sticks in it's pressed function for a moment (hence the 3 or 4 h's), then unsticks and depresses itself.

I don't have the problem and don't know a fix, but someone here may.

no its not sticky.. just by hovering over the key barely touching it. (aka not pushing down the key). it puts h's on the screen. Just by typing this short post I have had 4-5 extra h's i had to take out. its really getting annoying

I've had this problem with my "c" key, and to a slightly lesser extent with two other keys.
I've adjusted the keyboard properties so that there is a slight delay before the keys will begin to repeat when you hold them down. It seems to work, but it's a band aid fix.

Do you happen to know where your keyboard was manuf?

Talk to Dell they'll replace it. (Unless of course it is no longer under warranty)

I believe mine is a Thai model, according to Dellbert's research. Search for his thread about the best "feeling" keyboard. Dellbert finds the two or three manufacturers (complete w/model #s) of the keyboards used in the 9200.
The board is the same tfor the 9300, XPS, & 6000, but where they are made now may have changed.
Keyboards are available for cheap on Ebay. Don't be afraid to ask the seller questions. They are likey familiar with the different sources for keyboards if they are selling many of them.

Will Dell simply send me a new one, or will they request that I send in the computer?
