It takes away the 15 % which was around $340 off , but thats ok since 750 is a lot better. BTW which OS would be best for me to get? XP home, Xp media center, or XP pro? Xp Pro?

Question to the people who own or know about Inspiron 9300, does it take 2 batteries at once (6+9 cell)?

Also, I can't remember if it has a subwoofer or not, assuming it does, is it then, you can't have the subwoofer installed with the 9 cell battery , either 9 cell or subwoofer?

Thanx for your help.

I'm not sure if it takes 2 batteries at once but thats fine, i'll leave one my case for a backup and yes according to DELL it has a subwoofer. So you if it does you don't think the 9 cell and subwoofer can be used at the same time?

I would go with xp Home instead of MCE because MCE has alot more startup programs and processes while xp home doesnt have as many. I dont know about professional.

I would go with the 1gig stick from newegg

yeah i will be ordering that 1 gB stick from newegg in 2 days or so...if i don't change my mind and wait for a AMD TURION notebook with decent Graphics card under $2000. And i think i'm going to up the 40 gb HD on the 9300 if i get it to a 60 gb 7200 rpm...i think that would be better than the cheaper 80 gb which i believe is 4200 rpm. Anyone else out their recommend Xp home, PRO, or MEdia for my OS?

I think the 80gb is 5.4k.
