automail checker doesn't work :(

I have tried everything, but I can't get the automail checker software to work on my 8890. (with hotmail, gmail, or anything else).
Is there some magic trick to get this to work??

yeah i can't get it to work either, i just want it so when i get mail from my hotmail account, the little led envelop lights up on my 5720
