You'll always get blurry pics in low-light conditions w/ no flash because the shutter's open too long. And us darn hoomans just can't hold still for nothing.

I'd suggest getting a small tripod (can get one for a few bucks at any camera shop) for situations just like this. If you take any sorts o' pictures at all, you'll find it handy. Just find you a place to set it (ie- chair w/ a box on it or something) and you're off to the races.

And the stand is definitely cool. Where'd you find that?

Oh, one of my friends is an artist for Guild Wars. I'm going to send him a link to your review so he can show it around the office

ive always thot that the m170 is the coolest looking lappy ive ever seen, sorry to say, but even better than the 1710
id love to get one, but i fear the time it takes for it to become outdated.

I agree I like the XPS M170 over the new 1710. But You could get the M90 which is a 1710 in a M170 case. I got my M170 in the sale when dell had them for 1349. got the 120GB 5400RPM driver for like 30$ more but that was it. I hate to say, but I love it. I sold my desktop and will probally continue to buy notebooks. 1 cable, much neater, quiet, portable, I could go on
