I'm waiting for Prescott too, his brother Ed, much nicer guy, will always buy you a drink or bail you out of jail.
Seriously, though, I am waiting for a laptop that is modular in architecture, meaning you can put whatever damn cpu in it you want that will fit (and there being a choice of fitting cpus) and you can put whatever damn gpu in it you want that will fit (ditto) and you can jam as much ram into as you can afford. Then it should have modular bays that can take Data Drives (both HDDs and SSDs or whatever kind of Ds you can afford) as well as CDs and DVDs AND Batteries or Card Readers or Port Replicators or GPNs or Microwave Ovens or Laser Blasters or whatever it is you want, sort of a mega/meta PCMCIA slot. After that, well, a touch screen that you can write on Tablet Style and perhaps a high-quality built in camera/stereo mic system. After that, we can talk about the bells and whistles.
