Sager Tech Support is Awful

So I ordered my 8887 at the beginning of this summer and the motherboard got fried a week later. I sent it back and a month later I got my laptop back with a new motherboard in it. Everything seemed to be fine until I tried playing a few games on it and my 3d video was seriously messed up. I took screen shots and e-mailed the pics and called them to see what they had to say about it and they could off no help except to install a new version of their radeon mobility drivers. I am thoroughly unimpressed with their tech support and my display when playing games is still messed up.

I think that makes one of you

Yeah I don't think anyone else has had long lasting problems with Sager tech support. BTW did you install the new drivers, because that may help.

yeah of course I installed the new drivers. there was no change at all. i'm even more pissed because games worked before i sent it to them and now they dont.

Sager has a 48 hour turn around time on fixes such as with the problem you described. In every case I've seen they've stuck to the 48 hour deal too, not the month you mentioned. Please post your RMA number and maybe we can research this further.

i dont have my RMA number on hand because i am at college now, and i dont have the box to send it in or anything. At the same time i can't afford 48 hours + shipping times without my computer. But i am being totally honest when i say it took 4 weeks to get the laptop back. I was extremely dissapointed.

We would need an RMA # to try and get anywhere with it. I've never heard of it taking 4 weeks for something like this not that I doubt you. In a situation like this, after a week wait you should contact your reseller for help and they should assist you in the issue and get it pushed through.

well wait. Tis kinda makes me mad. I would be the last person to kiss ager's but, you seem like you just want to complain. You are not willing to go through the process of sending it back this time with confirmation of taking no more than a week or two, but you are ready to whine about how the screen looks bad. Maybe UPS kicked it a few times before they delivered it. Not everything can be perfect all the time. Calm down. If it is really bad then you must sacrifice ur laptop for a little. I have never heard of inability to go without a laptop on a college campus for two weeks. I am sure they have pc labs where you are unless it is a joke of a school. If your teachers require a laptop I guarantee they will understand if you say urs broke and you have to return it for repairs. There are no excuses for not sending the laptop back. You're gonna end up waiting til your warranty expires then ranting and raving about their crappy service again. Send it back now while you can.
