Back into the Fray

Searching for Alternatives,

ok basically i originally wanted a Z71v, but from posts and reviews it seems to have lots of problems with its screen and its quality so now im jumping back into the fray and trying to decide what my other options are AGAIN.

What other laptops are around these general specs

under or around $2000
Pentium M-2.0ghz
Nvidia go 6600 or equivalent (x700 ish i guess)
DVD RW
15.4" Some good screen in the range of Sony Toshiba Quality (whatever has good quality)
60gigs 7200

Again i do, video editing, engineering work, and a bit of gaming

Anyone have any alternative laptops?


Getting tired of searching of a laptop that has everything i want.

yeah I am having screen problems with the asus ;( more so with the company I bought it from not admiting theres a problem even after I show them video there is.


If I had to recommend a screen to you probably would be one of those sony xbrite ones. They are great quality screens

please do not buy glare screens for gaming...
please dont!

u will buy the lappy. then enjoy it.
u will make everyone u show it very jealous.
it will look uber cool.

but then one month down the line....the screen will start killing you...u will long for a matte screen and then u will have no where to go
