Hard drive for modular bay?

Does Dell sell a hard drive that fits in the modular bay for the Lattitude series? I have a D610 and would like to expand the hard drive space via the modular bay. I'm think that would be much faster than a USB drive.

Yes, you can get an empty caddy from ebay or dell spartparts and just add a HD yourself. I believe it's called a D-bay HD caddy.

It's the same modular bay HD housing as for previous generation laptops (d800,d600,m60,ixps,i8600) just make sure you're buying a D family housing not C family or other.

Thanks guys. I love this forum. As long as this forum is around, tech support is a non-issue.

ya know, with the m70 they had an option for the 40gig modular bay hard drive. What I don't get is why does it have to be 40. I've seen it on other laptops always as 40. Isn't it just a 2.5mm hard drive in a special cradle to go into the modular bay?
