this is the system that i've gotten a few days ago but didn't get around to posting the pictures. drool here. and if you want any special pictures just ask. even certain screenshots it's all good. i don't do benchmarking so i won't post anything like that.

by the way, the paintjob is to die for. the shipping is god damned slow and annoying but once you get the system you wil be in instant love!

Kick*ss rig, MrPotatoes! Only one thing on my mind. The Camels can stay, but that evian water's gotta go! How's about a big frosty Warsteiner?

Yeh, I noticed that after the fact.

Curses! Foiled again!

Nice setup and great pics. I noticed you got a slot loaded dvd drive. Cool deal. Both of mine are trays, so it can be a pain, but not that big of a deal. Mostly I open the wrong one at times when I am reaching to open the drive. But since I always find no-cd cracks so that I don't have to swap CDs.... not that big of a deal.

As for the logo, I thought it would be distracting as others stated and thus the reason I don't have it on mine at all. Funny - as I said in other threads, I expected there to be a Hypersonic marking somewhere, but there isn't. Only on the mouse and keyboard. That is cool though.

Well this is your thread. Great pics and look forward to seeing more.

yea i'm still getting the system up to my personal speed and security specs.

like i said before i thought i told them no but i guess it didn't go thru. my dad ordered it. it's the shipping that really killed me. i really love the paint job and whenever i look at it not only does it set me apart from everyone else it makes me feel a sense of pride. so it's difficult to say weter i'll go with them again or not. depends how good the Paint job from PC Torque is if they decide to do it again

the mouse keyboard deal is something that i just wanted. i do NOT work without an external mouse and my current alltime fav mouse is the MX1000. i won't use anything else now lmao. it's perfectly ergonomical (SP?). the keyboard i might not use to much still tho. but it's still a very nice addition.

the fans are absolutly nothing to me. th bitching and moaning is really annoying ont hat aspect, maybe it's just hypersonic on that fact but i doubt it. i think people are expecting too much

the heat is the only problem but i'm not all that worried about that anymore. i've got this thing going with some minimal gaming (1/2 hour) and full use for about 6 hours now and it's warm but at comfortable temperature. i actualy like it. it's not any worse than my other laptop. i'll be leaving it on all night tonight to see if it'll be okay. i got the 24/7 HDDs from Hypersonic. it will idle at about an hour but i don't think that aything bad wil happen i'm not too worried at all. at all lol

you guys should see my real set up. i'm at my GF's house and this is her coffee table. i actually have this computer now, a laptop that i'll be selling in pieces soon and a pretty decent desktop that wil become my Linux storage server soon enough. i'll be selling my monitor hopefuly to get a Dell 20in 2005FPW widescreen. that will be nice. just got to figure out how i can make my desktop into a NAS with little problems and w/o needed a screen for it. i just want it to be like an giant storage .... thing

either way thanx ALOT for the compliments. i'll be posting a review hopefuly by the end of this week once i'm more used to this computer. peace out people. it's later

Nice laptop, but I gotta ask why is the cd halfway in the computer and half on the cd bay,,jammed? Also you don't do benchmarking, im sure you paid a arm and leg for it, so why not see what it can do?

errr...slot load dvd player. Mega cool.

I can tell you that I don't do benchmarking either nor overclocking. You are right - paid a lot of money, but this is mostly to have a high performance machine that not only kicks butt, but looks good while doing it.

MrPotatoes. I understand the pride in the paint job deal. You are correct, it does set it apart from other machines. I have brought mine into work several times and people just stand in awe.

I was really happy with my last system (GX7) so that helped a lot in my decision to come back to them. Funny though, I was looking at PCTorques and the paint job became unavailable again due to the move. I state again, because when I was looking to order an 8790 last year, it was not available at the time which pushed my move to Hypersonic. But if I end up in Texas (still dropping resumes and applications to government jobs all over the US) I will be stopping in and checking PCTorque out. The same with if I end up at West Point, I will be doing the same for Hypersonic. Always cool to see the people behind the scenes.

like they said already, slot loading CDROM drive. i was surpised when i got it too lmao. it's like the one in your car, or a car that you you've been in that has a CDROMCD Player.

i don't do benchmarking mostly because what Rat said. but also because it really doesn't matter to me. that one frame that i get extra is not going to put me over the top so much that it matters honestly. it's not going to make a difference. but if my computer was underperforming then yes. i'd do the benchamarks to see how it compaired to everyone else

Very nice system and pictures. I actually think HyperSonic has a nice looking logo with the "blue whirl." I wanted it on mine, and I like where they place it symmetrically in the middle. Of course, there will obviously be others with different opinions. Paints, logos, etc ... it is all personal preference.

In any case, I love the color and system. Enjoy!
