I know there are threads that talk about this. I just wanted to take a poll of which you like better.

I have this memory installed in my Inspiron 14R. 6gb (one 2gb & one 4gb). Great performance! I highly recommend Kingston.

Well what can I say, I needed that little bit of extra storage that as a family we could all use. After searching around I narrowed it down to three suppliers, not the cheapest, but all well...

I purchased this Nook Color specifically because I was taking a very long trip to China and wanted to be able to read without carrying a ton of books. I also liked that it had email capability...

This is an awesome mouse with an excellent grip for a mid sized to large size hand. Right-handed, comfortable, trendy, upscale, red, responsive, functional, task oriented. Overall A+++

There are not very many people who have had both and can therefore give an unbiased opinion. You are going to end up with people saying they like or dontlike their screen and which model is it But, thats not what your poll asks.
I have never seen a Samsung.
I have seen 2 LG screens.
I am very satisified with my LG.
Whites are slightly grainy/dirty.
Colors are excelent.
There are many threads on this already too.

I've seen both the LG and Samsung WXGA, but not side by side simultaneously. What I noticed is:
1. Samsung has way better viewing angles. With the LG if you move your head just a little bit, you can notice a darkening on the edges of the screen. The Samsung doesn't do that.
2. I did not notice any difference in color, and there was a tiny tiny bit of light leakage on both of my screens, not even noticable unless it's pitch dark around you stare at the bottom of the screen.
3. Samsung has way less, (practically non exisitant) sparkles. On the LG, if you stare at a light color you can't quite focus on the surface screen, it looks like there is a layer of dirt and graininess you just want to wipe off. With the Samsung, you won't ever notice any such sparkles unless you were to literally stare at the screen from one inch away, and then it won't even be apparent.
I've heard of some Samsung screens having terrible light leakage or bad colors but I've experience neither, so I guess I just got lucky.

I have also seen both albeit not side by side but with a couple of minutes interval.
The LG in my opinion is SUPERIOR to the Samsung although I concede that my view is subjective given that both screens have drawbacks!
The Samsung has significantly more light leakage, the colors are also washed out, and blacks clearly suck. To its credit, its slightly brighter and the sparkles are less pronounced.
LG, on the other hand, has amazing blacks, and with the glossy screen makes it almost liquid like! The colors are also much more vibrant. If you display a single color, though, I noticed that it doesnt look that great.
Bottom line, both these screens were designed for multimedia, ie gameplay or watching dvd's. As such, the LG wins, without a doubt. On the other hand, if wordprocessing etc is the criteria, then the Samsung is clearly better!
Enough said!

I'd like to add that from all the pictures of the samsung screen that I've seen, the samsung has a lot of light leaking. My LG has none in comparison...my screen is nearly perfectly lit. Everybody has one thing that bothers them about a screen, for me it's light leakage...luckily my replacement XPS 2 was a large improvement over the first.

I have two xps 2 systems with me right now, one with samsung and the other lg. I personally prefer the Samsung since the whites are much easier to handle, the screen is slightly brighter, has accurate grays and colors can be tweaked to match the lg. The only real advantage LG holds over the samsung is that it has better blacks, less light leakage and slightly more vibrant colors (which isn't as visible after samsung is tweaked). Comes down to personal preference, I'd rather have accurate colors, less sparkles and a brighter display. I dont view full blacks on my screen very often so having a true black background or less light leakage isn't as important to me.
