FlowerPower CL56

Hi there
My Girlfriend is taking over my good "old" Compal CL56 so i though i would do something fun to it.. so i bought some sticky paper, cleaned the laptop and applied the paper and used a scalpel to make the edges nice ...

I personally dont like the paper, but my girlfriend thinks it kicks the Acer Ferarri´s ass :P

Another cool thing is that you can pull it off like tape if you want to, så from Flowers to Normal blue Cl56 in 5 minutes or so

Hope the images arent to large... want you too be able to se where my craftmanship failed... and didnt know how to make thumbnail pictures that linked to larger image...

WHY? Why in the name of G-d would you butcher a fine piece of technology like that? I cry tears of green ketchup.

Very nice job, even if it looks like a bad wallpaper design.

Well... the great thing about it is that it costs me arount 5$ for the sticky paper... and takes 5 minutes to take off again, and bang, its a normal CL56 again
The whole cleaning/sticking and fitting took me about 1½ hours though... but who cares... its worth it if my girlfriend thinks its fun for a week
At least it wont get scrathed in the meanwhile

Got the idea from the Taxi´s in denmark... Here they get a plastic coated "paintjob" with commersials on. Once the commercial runs out they can take it off, and the paint underneath is still great

I'd redo it in total hot-pink and put your name everywhere, and tell her it can never come off. That way she keeps you and the notebook. Unless she just sells it when she's sick of it :-/

Well.. my new laptop was Dead on arrival, so i took the laptop back, and ofcourse the flowerpaper had to go... perhaps i will apply some new stuff once i get a new and working laptop
