asp.net question

Thread Starter
Just got my 8890 last night. I am running WindowsXP Pro (Self Install).

I just noticed a new user account has been created on my computer.

It is called ASP.NET Machine A... and it is password protected.

To my knowledge I didn't do this, but I am a rookie.

Any help?

Thanks.

It's a system account that WindowsXP Pro created. You can delete it or leave it there.... no problem.

That's odd... I've never seen this created with any of my XP installs (using PRO)...

It is an MS-thing, tho... (from google)

The ASPNET user is a built-in account used by the .NET framework and the IIS web server. This is created when you installed IIS and the Microsoft .NET Framework on your Windows.

Only Bill Gates has the password.
