Where to buy pentium 4m cpu?

Greetings everyone. My freind has a Toshiba Satalite Pro 6100 and I am attempting to upgrade it a bit for him. He currently has enough ram so we are looking at replaceing the processor. Right now he has a pentium 4m 1.8 ghz cpu, but I know that in this model 2.2 ghz cpus were sold later in production. After looking around a bit, I havent really found any websites that sell these chips, is it actually possible upgrade this chip? If it is where would I buy a new one? Thanks for your time guys, as always, you are a wonderfull resource.

Where do you live ? For online stores try Tiger Direct maybe, or NCIX, but I couldn't find any for sale on those. I might be able to find a store close to wherever you ae that sells them.

I have a P4-M 2.0Ghz that I'd be willing to part with.

What is a fair price for such an item?

So is it possible to upgrade this computer to a faster chip?
If so how fast can you go? I saw a 2.2 ghz 4-m on ebay that looks apealing, will that work? Thank you again!

Check out this forum in the For Sale/Trade thread. There's someone who's selling boat loads of chips for cheap, good luck.

I think people are confusing the Pentium 4m and the Pentium M.

The Pentium 4m is the (outdated) mobile version of the Pentium 4.
The Pentium M is a modern mobile processor based loosely on the Pentium 3.
