It's the same hardware as whatever chip its based on, but it has extra extensions for OpenGL and DX acceleration.

Same hardware as previously said. Benches 2500-3000 in 3Dmark05, sa opposed to 3000-4000 for the regular 6800go

it probably isnt as good as a regular go 6800, but i think its better than the x700 and go6600

Quadro, is more for workstation dealing w/ CAD, movies, 3D's & so forth. Not really meant for gaming.

Definetly go for the Acer 8100, x700 is 2nd top dog standing next to it's big brother, x800.

the benchmarks speak for themselves, the M70 is only marketed towards CAD ...

Quadro > x700

That is better than the average 6600go bench 1800~2000 from the Z71V
Not as good as the 6800go bench 3000~3300 from the 9300

I may have to start considering an M70 also... Sounds pretty nice, but there's no Firewire port On the plus side, there's no built in mic or card reader for every card except the one that I need! (Compact Flash)

whoa, settle down there ppazzus, I know your excited but on par isn't a good term. I believe the xps2 gets ~x2 the 3dmark05 score which puts it beyond what I'd call 'on par'. Is it a 256meg 256bit bus 6800 core card? yes, but not nearly clocked as high. If you had said on par with a 6800 go in a 9300 then I'd agree.

btw, I got 2666 with my m70 not overclocked. I should say though, that those were drivers I got from laptop2go.com and not the newest dell ones. With the newest dell ones I got 2430.
