"I have been informed by Lind that their adapter # DE2045-1320 (actually obtained via Dell by Lind) will work with the M70 Precision laptop in airlines and as a car adapter. However, for use in a plane, the battery must be removed. When used in a car, the battery will be charged which is nice. Cost is $119.95. Adapter # DE202-869 can also be used in a plane or car without having to remove the battery, although the battery will not charge in either the plane or the car--cost $79.95. I went with the 2045-1320 model because I will use it in the car more often and it will charge the battery at the same time. I ordered it today, so have not used it yet. Hope this helps any others who also need to find an air/auto adapter for the M70 Precision laptop."

Plus b/c Dell has Lind manufacturing these DC Power Supplies they're backed by Dell's warranty service and gauranteed to be recognized by the chipset as Dell Power Supplies.

Good info i think b/c there's not ANYTHING too helpful on M60/70 AC Car Adapters on this forum.

This is the way to go. After the failure of two DC PS in first year, it has been Lind all the way for me, for seven years.

I was especially pleased with the introduction of the "Dell Approved" version as before February, DC Power would result in not only 'not charging battery' but 70% cut in CPU speed as well.
