Logitech X-530 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System (6-Piece)

I just bought a Logitech X-530 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System (6-Piece) for my Dell Inspiron 9300
The Problem that i have is that this system have 3 audio input, and my laptop have only a headphone jack!!!
Do you guys know if there is some kind of spliter out there in the market that i can use to conveert the 3 audio output into one, if so where can i buy it!!!

You wouldn't get true surround sound, just stereo split 3x.

Try to configure the laptop to use the mic-in and line-in ports as the surround and center/subwoofer channel outputs. Some systems are able to do that. Otherwise, just connect headphone out to the L/R of the speaker system, and enable Dolby Pro Logic II on the speaker system. That achieves a slightly better effect than splitting one output into three.

hi. i got same problem with the same unit. mine is fujitsu amilo pi 1536. the manual says it supports 5.1. yet, when i connect the green jack to the audio ouptut, only 2 spkrs are working. anybody here can help?

Okay so there are a couple of fixes for this. One of the simpler options is to get one of the below:

#1 being a ExpressCard slot version of a dedicated sound card that should handle all you audio needs and decode pretty much all the formats you'd need.

#2 being dell's way of getting SPDIF out through their adaptor (note you can get this in more than just the place I listed), and you use the SPDIF digital audio out on the adaptor to connect to a speaker system.

Most onboard audio is just stereo 2.0 solutions, that's why you guys just get audio from 2 speakers.So hopefully this should help, although I recommend getting #1, since it offers up a much more universal answer for high quality audio for all your needs. There is a PC-Card variant that's slightly older but you can still get as well for people who don't have an expresscard slot.

Using either of the 2 options I listed should work fine. But if those are too expensive for you, heading over to radioshack and getting the right splitter should do the trick.
