I can't answer your question about the Pentium M, because I've never had one.
The Express 200 graphics is definately more than enough for you if you currently use Intel Extreme Graphics. I'm not sure if it is equal to the X300, but it is based on it. If you get the one with hypermemory (small amount of dedicated RAM + uses some shared RAM) I would imagine it would be close to, if not the same as an X300. The one without hypermemory (what my desktop has, uses shared RAM only) is about as fast as my friends Geforce FX 5200.
I know it's hard as hell to make up your mind between two or more notebooks. I had the same trouble deciding which one to get. I personally don't lean towards any one brand over the other. I just bought what I have now because it was best suited to my needs and budget. Try to consider all of the tradeoffs and advantages of the notebooks, and then decide what is most important to you. Is the ability to run 64bit software in the future important to you? Do you think that thiers a possibility of some great new game comming out that you may want to play? Things like that.
Another idea is to do some more looking around and see if thiers any other notebook that will better suit your needs. For instance have you considered the Gateway 7426GX? That would probably suit you pretty good. It's the same as mine but with the A64 3700+, and the mobility 9600 will play all current games fine.
Sorry if I haven't helped or have made things more confusing for you...lol
EDIT: Hardball made a good point. Do you want the video to use some of your system RAM? The X200 Xpress will, although I think the hypermeory version uses it dynamically, only as it is needed i.e. like when playing a game. I'm not sure of that though.

It is not a lowend GPU intended to be slightly better than an integrated solution, it is an integrated GPU based on the X300 that is much better than any other integrated GPU.
